Dans la campagne ensoleillée , les oiseaux se cachaient dans les buissons épais ou se perchaient sur des branches ombragées . Il faisait très chaud , personne n'avait vraiment envie de sortir . La chaleur était étouffante . Pourtant , quelques baigneurs excités criaient dans l'eau à peine fraîche de la cascade voisine de chez moi .
